Anettine - 24, May

The captain was called on watch 0100 instead of 0000. Appreciated! We are running with two shifts. One shift with Jonn and Daniel, and one with the captain. We are sailing very conservative due to the experience level on the two crew.
We are still sailing with good speed, even the sails not have been adjusted since yesterday! The tell-tales are still fine. It became a quit and enjoyable watch under the stars and moon.
In the morning, as we coming to the south end of the search area, we got the sad message that Chekki Raffi was found with the life raft on board. It's terrible. We joined the rest of the ARC fleet for a minute silence at sun set.
In the afternoon passed something 1oo meter away on SB. We decided two turn to check if it was from Chekki Raffi. It turned out to be a marking buoy, probably used by the official search time. The turnaround and way back to the buoy became a valuable man over board exercise for the time, and confirms how important it is to have one crew only dedicated to keep the MOB in sight at all times.

A day we will remember for the wrong reasons. The sad end off the search for Chekki Raffis crew have impact on all of us. Our thoughts go to the lost ones and their nearest family.
