Nexus - On our way to Grenada...1963nm to go.

We decided to leave early this morning, after spending one more delightful evening with the crews of Ghost and Alpheratz on shore last night we left in their company to sail together. Unfortunately we have no wind today (1.7kts at the moment) but more is in the forecast for the next 10 days, so we're expecting a delightful sail starting late tomorrow or Monday. We spent yesterday afternoon running around the island in our dune buggy, poking in cheesy souvenir shops and buying some last minute provisions, then we all went out to dinner at the restaurant that overlooks our harbor. It was really great. I was walking down the dock toward the dingy with our provisions, and a police car ran down the dock and tooted for my attention. As I walked over to the car, the fellow that hopped out in a high ranking police uniform, was the guy I rented the car from. He couldn't speak a word of English as last time, but through gestures he communicated that he would just take the keys back and we could leave the car at the port dock rather than drive it back to his house. He shook my hand, smiled and drove away...I really like these people! We pulled anchor at 0800 this morning and motored off on flat calm seas, hoping for wind, or at least fish, before tomorrow! 1,963nm to go!
