Evening All

Another fine day's sailing on board. We have been at sea for one week today and the routine on board is now well established. Breakfast in bed for the owners followed by a sauna and jacuzzi, some gentle retail therapy in the on board boutique and then a snooze before drinkies before lunch etc etc' I wish! In fact its a non stop routine of rigging checks, sail changes/trimming, boat cleaning, more rigging checks in a relentless attempt to squeeze out that extra quarter knot of boat speed!

We clocked up around 165 miles in the 24 hours to noon today and, fingers crossed, we may reach the half way mark tomorrow. The crew are at a fever pitch of excitement with a virgin being sought for the usual half way sacrifice to Neptune (no volunteers so far), the bottle of cava being checked for leakage/evaporation and Ian (ex banker) dispensing with his usual second decimal place in his pinpoint navigation exercises.

Elsewhere on board the Male Voice choir continues to attract new recruits (detailed knowledge of the second verse of Danny Boy a pre requisite to membership) whilst the fishing club is in danger of being disbanded due to lack of lures and the considerable investment in Capex which has so far produced no return. The much anticipated bridge club has yet to hold its first meeting but watch this space. Tony's cutting edge of technology club has been abandoned following the loss of his fountain pen and slide rule. The ladies catering association continues to clock up success after success with one gastronimic delight after another and even some of the men's catering attemts have only led to mild food poisoning.

Weather has picked up and it almost looks like the brochure photos from time to time

Hope all is well with our dedicated followers, family, friends etc

Nick
