SYNOPSIS : A strong mid ocean high near 35N/42W extends an axis of moderate ridging ESE toward and south of the Canary Islands. This will tend to shift S thru tonight as a gale approaches from the north. A small gale west of Portugal near 40N/17W will strengthen as it moves SE today, then begin to weaken tonight as it continues to just south of Cabo de Sao Vicente by tomorrow morning. A strong front associated with a strong and large storm across the North Atlantic will move SE across the Azores tomorrow and by late tomorrow it will extend from west of Cape Finesterre SW to near Madeira and then W to the south of the Azores. The front will continue ESE into S'rn Iberia and Gibraltar to the canaries by am 28/11, then pushing farther S to along 25S near and east of 30W by late 28/11. Conclusion: vessels in grids AA and BB will see higher swells due to aforementioned gale on 27/11. Vessel in n'rn half of grid CC will also see higher swells, with lower swells expected in s'rn half of grid CC and s'rn 1/4 of grids BB and AA. General lighter swell is expected in grids GG and HH. Vessels will see enhanced winds along n'rn half of grids AA and BB, with particularly higher funnelling winds of up to 30-35 knots in n'rn exposed waters, and in between islands. Vessels in grids HH and GG will see generally building swells, but overall swells will remain lightest in grids GG and HH. Winds are expected to remain lightest in grid HH and west GG.
