Atlantic West to East with ARC Europe
ARC Europe is organised by the World Cruising Club and is based on the popular rally format of the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC). ARC Europe is a cruising rally crossing the Atlantic from West to East and attracts entries from both yachts returning to Europe at the end of the Caribbean season, as well as boats crossing the Atlantic for the first time from the American Seaboard, arriving for the European summer.
ARC Europe starts from Tortola, BVI, crossing to Bermuda, before sailing to Horta in the Azores archipelago. Yachts, whose itinerary allows, then spend time enjoying the hospitality of the Azores, visiting several of the islands. The fleet will then depart from Ponta Delgada on the island of Sao Miguel, for Marina de Lagos, Portugal.
