The house is nearly packed up. The jobs list is now less than a page and we are due to move onto Sephina in a week or so. Most of the recent jobs have been adding the communication systems and I am hoping there are no more cables to be run. My electronics contractor thinks the boat is worth its weight in copper! It was great to fire up the Satellite system and download an Atlantic GRIB weather file in seconds. I have decided to go with both a Parasailor and twin head sails as the latter seems to have a lot of supporters especially for its ease of reefing for a squall. Sephina will leave Deganwy in North Wales at the end of July via SW Ireland and Portugal. She will meet up with two other ARC participants, Gozwoz and Kika before setting off for Gran Canaria in September. The crew is now sorted and will by my wife Ju and I and my youngest daughter Stephanie who is a commercial yacht master and her partner Matt an Ocean Graduate. On the domestic front the cats Peri and Thornton have no idea they are about to become “Ship's Cats”.
