We sailed from Sardinina to
Tunisia, and are now sailing along the Algerian coast, stopping in all the
harbours and fishing ports. While it is certainly a destination for the more
adventurous, we are loving it. Algeria has a stunning coastline but it is the
people who shine out. Welcoming, friendly, they can’t do enough for us. Shouts
of ‘Welcome to Algeria’ regularly ring out as we explore the towns. The
coastguard have been brilliant in looking after us. Should I mention diesel at
13p a litre?
One more week here, then we cross to Morocco, and will hoist our
ARC flag so do come and say hello! Hope everyone’s preparations are going well –
we are certainly excited! Fair winds and safe voyages.
