With Adina now settled in Las Palmas for the big start, we had our
first Atlantic crew member, Lindsay Cunningham, come and join us for a week.
Lindsay was keen to know how the boat operates and sails before we head off in November.
With it being an ocean crossing we did a full front to back walk through of the
boat above and below decks and safety briefing. Just that took 7 hours -
something to think about!
The highlight though was a day of doing a thorough testing of all our MOB kit,
including hoisting each other out of the water. It was a really useful
exercise, we got a good understanding of our lifejackets, made some tweaks to
location of MOB devices on the pushpit, but most importantly it gave us
reassurance. We're now back in Las Palmas and off chatting to the butcher in
the local market about our meat requirements for the crossing. Time for a
tapas!
