Day 6
‘Not what we paid for’
says the crew! Apparently they were expecting sunshine and down wind sailing. Well
so did I but can’t see that happening for the next few days!
Its been raining and overcast for the last 36hrs and to make it worse we’ve
been beating for most of it! The winds been up to 30knt and as low as 2kts
keeping us busy with numerous reefs and headsail changes. Currently were broad
reaching at 10-11knts in the rain but no complains as we hope to make our 1st
200mile day!
Feeling a bit salty but its
showers for our watch today. Hope our watermaker keeps running efficiently as
we’re going through water as if we’re connected to the mains!
Still eating well with the
fresh meat and veg lasting well. The crew are becoming very skilled in the
galley, looking forward to a beef curry with home made naans!
Still no fish however. 3 takes
yesterday but nothing!
Still have no idea when we’ll
get there. Roll on the trade winds!!!!!
