Shelduck - Mon 2 Dec Cape Verde

Mon 2 Dec Location at 11:30 is 16:53.493N 25:01.530W Mindelo Marina, Cape Verde

 

We’ve made a lightening stop for fuel and water.  The wind has been incredibly variable in the last few days from Gale Force 7 gusting Force 8 to nothing at all.  Others experienced Force 9 so we were lucky. Some wonderful waves and incredible skies. Saw a pod of Pilot Whales right up at our stern in the huge swell!

 

We’ve had to motor a lot so needed to refuel.  Prospects for wind are consistently ‘trade like’ but lower speeds than average, so it may take us 18 days to cross from here, arriving around 20th Dec.  Brendan and Gabby due to fly back on the evening of 21st so hope we make it in time!
