What a difference a day makes, after motoring through flat calms yesterday we started to sail at 1700 last evening with the code zero. Tad lumpy with cross seas from the north but we sailed 93 miles in 12 hours and looks like we finally have current with us. Disappointed that the nights, even though there is a half moon, are cloudy for most of the time but today is as clear as can be.
After nights of gentle slumber with the purring of a 30hp diesel, the crew are complaining about it being a 'bit bumpy' last night - delicate souls! But we can taste the Caribbean rum and Red Stripe now and we have just passed the 1299 nm to go landmark.
