Well it is interesting what pops into you heard
when in the middle of a rather large storm.......this one lasted about 9 hours,
included the usual suspects of thunder and lightning, had lots of torrential
rain and included, just for the joy of it, winds gusting to 34kts. very nice
really, so we are now waiting for some sunshine to dry us out once again. We
were advised of gusts and showers, but nothing like what we experienced. Ah, the
cruising life.
We have been mulling over the costs of our journey
so far, hence the title - ho hum. Had we known then what we know now, would we
have still done it? Well this is a debating question round a table set fair with
food and drink.
We have also noticed that at the times we don't
have any wind, our position falls between the grib arrows on the downloaded grib
files. On the occasions we do have wind, we are invariably on, or underneath, a
grib arrow. Curious eh? One for the techies perhaps.
We hope all the ARC folks have a great trip to
Teceira and the running with the bulls. Enjoy
More in due course.
P.S. Congratulations to Ian who cracked the blog
post titles.
