............well we know it isn't but we passed the
half way stage this morning so decided to celebrate with some smoked salmon and
champagne (kindly donated by Martin and Marilyn from Rocking Horse) for this
occasion. Not with a white table cloth and silver ware, but in Andromeda's
cockpit, in the sunshine, and enjoying the view of the deep blue sea. We have no
wind at present, nor are there any clouds in the sky, so are motoring for while
to get through this part of a high pressure system. This after two days of
lovely sailing for change. Anyway, we are really pleased to have made this
milestone and are keen to get the wind and get going once again, bound for
Horta.
Susan was a bit confused this morning when she saw
a light above the horizon and thought it was the mast head light of a yacht -
only it wasn't, just one of the light night stars making an appearance. Still
its something we all do at times. We did however see a tanker under ballast
heading SE - it passed about 4 miles astern soon after dawn this morning, but
alas are Shreawater-less - no wild life observed for nearly 24 hours. Where has
it all gone?
We are however getting all the damp stuff
dried!
More in due course......
