Nexus - Half Way Across the Gulf of Carpentaria
We're about half way across the Gulf of Carpentaria, having left Cape York heading for Darwin across the top of Australia. It's a beautiful day, a bit lumpy with moderate winds, but great sunshine and very little shipping traffic as we get further from the Torres Strait. We left Seisia motoring in virtually no wind, and over the last 12 hours, we've been trying to slow the boat down so we don't arrive in Darwin too early for our marina availability. The forecast shows the wind dying off, so maybe we'll wish we had hurried along at this stage, but puzzles like this are the joy of sailing. We are very much looking forward to getting together with everyone in Darwin!
