El Mundo - 28/11 - 'Atlantic 2...El Mundo 1'.
Conditons have been about the same as yesterday, with softer wind in the
middle of the day, so we made 175 miles. El Mundo seems to love these conditions
and life below decks is surprisingly pleasant...Bob and Lincy even manage
to sleep in the bow, though lee cloths are still required to keep yourself in
place.
We are still seeing 3 or 4 boat lights in the distance around us at night,
though nothing close enough to show on AIS.
The ciabatta bread went down well, so I expect more bread making today, as
that loaf didn't last long.
Everyone seems to have settled in to the boat routine of the crossing
now. The big event of the afternoon was catching our first Dorado,
weighing in at 2.65kg. Dinner plans were immediately changed and we all enjoyed
Bob's 'Dorado Mediterranean Style', baked with sliced potatoes,
tomatoes, onion, garlic and white wine......fantastic....from the sea to
the plate in under 3 hours! We also lost another lure though, so that makes it
'Atlantic 2....El Mundo 1'....so far.
