Saturday at 18.00 hours Reina passed 1400 miles. So half of the crossing is done. PARTY TIME! Everybody onboard was invited for a Half Way Party. Free drinks and nice bites provided by the chef. Dress code: bow tie.
The whole crew arrived well-dressed on deck with in one way or another a self-made bow tie around their neck. The lady aboard in a nice black evening ensemble. Champagne was offered to make a toast on the wonderful journey behind us and the beautiful things that still are in front of us. Our chef had made a nice salad dip and tortillas.
Unfortunately one crew member did not arrive at party time.Rory Gillard did not make it in time. Actually he did not show up at all. Instead there was the appearance of Loretta Gillard, his good looking sister. She was wearing a sexy dress and a nice head. In her arms she brought a pan and some pieces of paper. BINGO! That was it. Loretta came out to be the Bingo-princess. We all got a piece of paper with numbers plus a pen and out of the pan Loretta took the numbers. “Two ducky’s in a row… 2 and 2.. makes 22. 1 and 8 is 18. 4 on its own is only 4. 3 and 7 is 37. And for people who cannot wait I here have the lonely eight!”
What a night! We had lots of fun. And on this very festival Sunday Chef Flossie put a special meal on the table; SUNDAY ROAST! With potatoes, creamy leek, vegetables and Yorkshire pudding. We finished with brownie, ice cream and fudge. What a lovely day on the ocean!
