So, we're sailing along! We got the spinnaker up this morning for the first
time, which feels great, and are going about 8 knots in 17 knots of wind. With
the constant grinding and trimming of sails we're suddenly 2 crew members
shorter, but fret no. Our skipper cooked up real tasty bacon sandwiches for
everyone, together with our cooking hero Marlinspike.
Highlight of the day: With the kite already covered, the
highlight must be the highly anticipated rock-paper-scissors contest of
last night. As we had decided to turn the clocks back an hour we decided to have
a social hour of everyone together. Even on a 40ft boat you barely get to see
each other! The qualifiers kept everyone glued out on deck and the excitement
peaked when Peg-legged Pete met Laahhrrs in a merciless final. To his utter
disappointment Laahhhrrrs lost to Pete and will now go into training for the
rematches on Monday.
Stay Tuned for more!!
