All well on board.
The night offered almost smooth sailing but still a bit cloudy, however it’s
getting warmer.
Panic was about to spread in the night as the fridge stopped working! It
turned out that it is fitted with automatic de-iceing and the poor thing felt
icezy and had started de-iceing.
This absolutely a very bad option! We might have to buy a new fridge.
We do have our freezer running as well and a lot of canned and dried food,
so not to worry, we won’t starve and water supply is ok too.
After our night watches we started our day together with a nice cup of the
and a wrap.
The big jobs of today were: changing a schakel where the sail is attached
to the boom, and change of oil-filter for the generator. The latter made both
all of us sweat. Working in the engine room is hot and offers you limited space.
So Jan was laying over the engine trying to change filter, Carina had to run up
and down getting tools. Took us about half an hour and lots of water afterwards
to cool down again.
Guess we are quite lucky being able to cooperate and just being
us.
Surprise of the day: Jan asked for coffee and cake! A cup of good strong
coffee and some brownies, that’s pure energy
Supper this evening was rib-eye.
