Quiet day with daily routines and no big surprises.
We are still without our genua but hopefully the weather conditions of
tomorrow will allow us to get it fixed and up again. We do miss having our good
helper, the two other sails are doing ok, but the other boats are gaining on us,
have passed us .... we are not competitive ...... we just want to get a little
more speed and cross the finish line in time, and not as the last one.
Guess you have started celebrating Christmas. I have Sanat on board but he
is a bit sea-sick so we have left him in his cabin together with his little
helper, but they will be fine once we get to St. Lucia.
We have had a little sun today and enjoyed eating “Aebleflaesk” (Danish
dish with apples and bacon) on deck, and Jan used his sextant, he is good at it,
his positions were within a few nm of our real position. Lots of tea and coffee are consumed and as usual after supper, now night watch.
1690 nm to St. Lucia.
