BearBaloo - Day 12 - 1438 nm behind us and 1438 nm left to sail - it´s party time!

Today we celebrated our half way party to St. Lucia with a chocolate cake and a bottle of champagne! Again, it was a perfect sailing day  with a bright blue sky, good wind for our parasailor (he luckily survived the damage and is doing a good job again) and a calm sea. And this in the middle of the Atlantic (I have to admit that we have a Catamaran)! Unbelievable! I always thought that in the middle of the Atlantic, the waves would be at least like 4 Meters, the Wind would be so strong that we have to use our stormsail and that we have to secure our glasses and cups to the table! But actually, it wasn´t like this the whole journey! For my first Atlantic experience it´s really amazing!
Our crew is very glad about our weather today, because yesterday we had nearly 0 knots wind, it was raining whole day and you couldn´t see the horizont due to all the dark clouds in the sky.  We looked twice at our position, to be sure that we are near the equator and not in the Northsea!
I can´t actually believe that we just made half way, because for me it feels like I spent months at sea like Christoph Columbus on his way to America. But we are all having a great time.
