Good
morning,
Yesterday
morning was grand sailing with good speeds and plenty of tropical sunshine sadly
the afternoon was very squally and very rolly with 10 to 12 ft swells coming at
us from different directions and making life difficult in the galley, half my
speciality, angel delight, was spilt out of the bowls by the rolling much to the
relief of my crew mates, and my mashed potatoes were more thrashed than mashed
because I thought I had a masher onboard but dont.
If only
Richard had caught a fish I would have been saved all the gymnastics in the
galley!
In one squall
yesterday if I had had some soap on deck I could have lathered and rinsed in the
one downpour, something else to keep handy in the cockpit.
This morning
is again sunny and very tropical with 18 25 knt winds bowling us along some
large swells once again, it is a chore when you think about what to wear today,
should it be my beach shorts, my blue shorts or my dark blue shorts as my golf
shorts are for Sunday best. Anyway Viv and Sarah can at least put their
thermals, scarves, boots and overcoats away in a few days and pack their
bikinis on top with the sun cream. Looking forward to seeing you.
Bread is
making its second rise, a technical term I believe, far too advanced for
me.
We are
steering 275 deg m with 766 nm to St Lucia
Must go now
to watch the flying fish and storm petrels.
