OOROO1 - Floss has joined the Marlin Club !!

Floss hooked and landed a 1.5m Marlin (bigger than her) at 6 knots !! Great effort, however ... the Marlin had the last say when it gave her a jab in the foot .. ouch !! “That’s it” she says “ throw the big sucker back”. Score 16-11-7. Got a hookup of a different kind today ... The Parasail managed to get caught on the spreader bar during a regular sail adjustment so it was all hands on deck controlling an out of control sail and up the mast for Mike on the open seas. Interesting times !! Managed to get a game of cards in with our second sunset before a busy night with lots of squalls coming through, almost like the Atlantic giving us one last taste of what she is like. Dolphins paid a night visit, zooming around the boat leaving trails in the phosphorescent waters, great sight. Trade winds are great and consistent today zooming us home with only 160nm to go, Shame about the 3m swell but that keeps it interesting. All we need to do is dodge Barbados on the way past. Our destination is St Lucia and is part of the Windward Islands in the Eastern Caribbean and with a bit of good sailing we may be celebrating our arrival this time tomorrow. By the way, the foot injury is not serious, bit of Bourbon poured on the jab and looking healthy today.
