I did not write yesterday as nothing much happened and then I found out
Christmas is coming soon, and I had not made my wishing list for Santa, so here
is what I wrote:
“Dear Santa, I’m little Louise on my way to St. Lucia. Unfortunately some
of my gear broke, so I wonder if it would be too much to ask for repair of my
sails? Maybe new ones? And I do need a new haleyard, and a wire for my davids. A
new fridge would be nice too and if you could do something about my autopilot,
the two of them use too much power. Oh yes, the freezer has high power
consumption too. Do you think you could replace it? Of course on the smaller
side I need more oil filters and other minor spareparts. Fuel willl be needed,
but I guess my owner will take care of that. But maybe I could have a small
present when arriving St. Lucia? My ARC flag is torn and I do need a new one in
order not to look shappy.
I know you are busy but what about Rudolf? Could you send him to me and my
fellow ships? Maybe he could bring some wind to help us get some speed?
Other wishes for Christmas? Yes I wish my crew and I shall have a wonderful time
in St. Lucia and that all my fellow ARC boats will enjoy their stay in the
Caribbean.
Well Santa, I do not think it’s a lot of wishes, and please do remember,
I’ve been nice, very nice!”
Do you think my wishes will come through? I hope so.
Not much to report from here. The crew is ok, the weather beautiful (apart
from the missing wind).
469 nm to St. Lucia, 10 days to Christmas.
