Our last blog for ARC 2014...
Now Playing: The Winner Takes It All -
Abba
Well, we did it. Crossed the pond in 18 days -
not quite as quick as our PB, but you can't help the lighter winds. Even though
it wasn't as quick, our finishing place is better - 1st in Class and Overall
results are TBC although we think its about 11th or 12th in the fleet. Although
it was just the four of us on board, we honestly couldn't have done it without
the support of everyone back home. From family helping with logistics, to
followers sending messages of support. Each and everyone of them helped us cross
that line faster - Thank you.
Little Pea is now being scrubbed from top to bottom
by Pappa John & family (St Lucia's finest), and is being converted from an
ocean passae maker into a cruising boat so she can continue to cruise the
Caribbean over Christmas and the New Year. We have begun the all important task
of turning a boat that has hosted 4 blokes in "camping conditions" into
something our wives will approve of when they join us later this
week!
And finally, thank you to all the ARC staff for yet
again providing a first class event.
