Jambo - Azores here we come
The start was quite picture as all the yachts set sail in St George's harbour and then made their way through the town cut into the open sea
The rigmeister Lord Charles of moncreif quickly had Jambo flying along in moderate winds and we had a reasonable night sail. The first few days always take a bit of time to settle down to the routine of the watch system ,Cooking and general chores at an angle
We are trying to head slightly ENE in anticipation of a front passing through on Saturday night which may bring rain and a wind shift.
This leg is about 1800 miles - our day one distance covered will be about 125 miles !
