Monday 12 Noon 23/11/2105
27 11 95 N 018 11 15 W - 175 Miles from race start (Departed 13:00
yesterday) - distance to St Lucia 2511
Hello - All good here, race set off on warm overcast afternoon 20 knots on
the beam for a reach then run to the bottom of Gran Canaria. 17:00 hrs Gybe
west onto our course to St Lucia. From 17:00 hrs to midnight winds were
regularly 40 gusting 50 + knots occasionally, Isabel loving it. We are
currently in glorious sunshine and 30 knots of wind on a broad reach
chomping through the miles !
Night watches staggered two hours with four hours on each, two on deck -
Who are the crew?
Philip - really good bloke / owner, gets sunset watch 18:00hrs until
22:00hrs hmmm !!
James - Skipper knows how it all works, how to fix it and how to fix us
Peter - Suave at times, nice clothes, takes doing nothing to a new level,
did not bring me coffee this am
Paul - aka "Bob the Builder" quietly gets on
Nick -- hurrdi guurdi Dutchman - complete disappointment as were expecting
girlie cook/goddess to look after us as 6th crew, but he can sail and has
been here before.
Mike - on gap yarrr and sleeping with Pete in the pink boudoir bow cabin
Check out Facebook page for plenty of yesterday's pics sent while we had 3G
