Why Not - ( Richard Anthony )
It’s now 16:10 on Saturday 28th.
Despite a night of very little wind, we experimented with various sail
options and managed around 4-5 knots. This morning the wind has picked up to
around 15 knots and we’ve been cruising along all day with the cruising chute
and main up, and reached up to 9 knots at times. The cruising chute has been
flying a lot better than two days ago, with slightly more manageable winds and
less rolling from the waves.
In other news, it’s been Keith and Ray’s turn to catch a fish – this
morning Keith caught a 4 lb. mahi mahi (compared to Charlie’s 5 lb.), and 10
minutes ago Ray caught a 9 lb. mahi mahi (compared to Charlie’s second which was
25 lb. – unlucky mate). The latter fish is now getting prepped for dinner.
We’ve also witnessed an army of flying fish shoot past us on a couple
occasions.
That’s all for now folks!
Charlie
