Skyelark of London - Day 7
Day 7
As the last rays of the day burn out in a marvellous sunset and, feeling
very satisfied from an awesome Moroccan styled roast lamb leg [thanks to
Becks!]; we contemplate another action packed day on board Skyelark.
Whilst there has been very little sailing today, we have broken the 1000mile
marker and still managed to pack in a day of action. First up, David J
managed to catch a flying fish in his life jacket [much to his surprise and
excitement!]. Lunch saw the end of the big Darado, highlighting the need
for another catch.
After lunch a spot of mid-Atlantic swimming. I must admit I was a tad
nervous of this but it was a blast. Not many people can say they have swam
in 3.5mile deep waters!
Last but not least, as Becks & I were preparing the evening meal - another
excitement from the cockpit - "we've caught Tina Tuna... she's doing a bit
of private dancing on the end of our line".
What will tomorrow bring? More wind hopefully - and probably another
champion meal as Mike & Simon step up to the plate.
