Hanse Sailor - Day 11 (Tuesday): sunshine and no fish

On the 11th day of the ARC (which started on the 22nd 1400 UTC of November whereas we started on the 23rd around 2200 UTC) nothing in particular happen other than general relaxing with some trimming of the sails. During the day we made around 8 knots with the gennaker in 15 knot NE wind which increased during the late evening to 23 knots at which we changed to sail with the main sail, resulting in 7 knots of speed (course over ground). Before the sunset the fish line was whirled in at which we could conclude that no lure or hook was attached to it. Only possible reason is naturally that is was bitten off by a giant creature with sharp teeth. Obviously.

Happy times under the clear sky!

Johan, on Hanse Sailor
