Why Not - Why Not (Richard Anthony)
Afternoon Folks!
We’re glad to report that we’ve grafted very hard over the last 2 days, and
have just managed our personal best of 171 miles in 24 hours – an average of 7.1
knots. Not bad considering we’ve only been on the white sails for the last 3
days. Previous days were 161 and 163 miles, so we’re really going for it.
The crew also enjoyed a delightfully chilled bottle of Moet a couple days
ago, to celebrate crossing the half way line. The next sip of champers will be
upon our arrival in St Lucia, which is our main motivation for getting there as
quick as possible!
In the night we had 3 flying fish attacks which resulted in Keith dancing
around like a fairy to get them back in the sea. This morning we also managed
our 2nd largest catch yet – 19 lb. mahi mahi which is being turning into a
curry.
The sun continues to shine on Why Not so long may it continue!
Charlie
