Log Day 67: The Coconut Milk Run
The Pacific Ocean has long been the one that sailors dream off crossing, mostly, for the same reason we are doing it - To explore paradise.
The route we are following is affectionately referred to as the "Coconut Milk Run" with yachts leaving the west coast of Canada and the USA or Panama to sail the well trodden route, via the Galapagos Islands or not, to French Polynesia, the Cook Islands, Tonga and Fiji, following which they split and head to New Zealand or Australia fot the cyclone season or continue on to the Indian Ocean as part of a circumnavigation.
For us we plan on enjoying the upcomimg sailing season then head for New Zealand, following which we'll head for Fiji and continue west.
