After checking the weather forecast again this morning and this afternoon, the weather system that was expected to pass through today with increased winds and churned up seas had passed last night and further north of us. With that we made the decision to set sail for Huahine this evening and had to say goodbye to magical Moorea.
We did, however, get to enjoy one last day playing in the beautiful turquoise lagoon under suuny skies and having a delicious crepe, washed down with cappuccino, for lunch.
The downside is that the weather forecast was still wrong. So, instead of reasonably good winds, we actually have exactly 1.7 kts and, instead of sailing, we're motoring again. The upside is that we have flat seas, on a moonless night which allows the stars to reflect off the water - magical regardless!
