Delfini - day 9 - tues 29
The wind has deserted us and we are drifting aimlessly around the Atlantic Ocean - but the good news is the sun is out and it's 35 degrees
Last night we put on 5 miles between 8pm and dawn - so today was deemed swimming day and at 9am we launched a round fender from the stern and one by one we jumped in from the deck - absolutely fab and we spend 30 mins or so racing the boat and each other and then climbing onboard and jumping in again - Keith wondered if it was ok to jump so I. He led the chart - it was ok as we had 6.5 km of ocean below us !!!!
The weather report suggests we might get some wind tomorrow but as per the last few days I have no idea when we expect to arrive in St Lucia
The good news is I don't have any booked flight home and the bulk of ARC fleet are in and around our location so almost everyone is in the same boat ⛵️
We are eating chill nachos tonight and following cheese and ham sandwiches for lunch and porridge for breakfast so are eating like kings - the water maker is working great and we have loads of water and big sun for solar and engine on for a few hours today have recharged our batteries to full
As per the theme of recent days, we are now very much hoping for some wind pleeeease !
