Hanse Sailor - rough but fun
“23:19,92 37:52,25W”
winds changing to our advantage slowly and we are getting 7 knots over the
ground which is nice after a fairly hard evening and night fighting the waves
and having to tack just to stop heading back to las Palmas . Little sleep
had by all but in the morning we have been making up for it. We caught a
fabulous Sailfish with all its blue colour shinning in the sun . as we bought it
in we all fell for its beauty and were all thinking of how we could get it
off the line instead of killing it . Thanks to its power and size it broke free
and we all sighed a sign of relief especially me who know that i would be the
one facing a 12 inch sward while i unhooked the hook . I hope those hooks
are dissolvable which i belief they are. Morning and Spanish omelette brought us
to sleeping , talking about the winds and rain we had last night and then onto
the Bangers and mash meal which has already been adapted to the Europeans diet.
at present on a 250 heading straight to St Lucia with the wind slowly moving
towards the stern. hopefully tonight's sleep will be better .
Well done to the Rambler crew who have taken the record , We told you to
watch your backs ,were on coarse to get in just after you (well about 10 days
after) but who's counting . from us all on Hanse sailor , A pinch and a punch
for the first of the month . Looking forward to xmas in the sun
Andy
