Ximera - Day 7 - T-shirt night watches
17∞42.34 N - 22∞08.40 W --> 16∞ 21.62 N - 23∞ 29.01 W
In the night the wind started to blow at 20 Knots, so we drop the gennaker and leave only the main sail. We were still doing at 7 knots but everybody could sleep quietly. As the sun rose we admired the long trajectories of hundreds of flying fish, strange creatures that show a snapshot of the evolution of the species: 'to be a bird or to be a fish, that is the question?'.
At 0900, after the night watches in t-shirts, even with a bit of rain, we opened the fridge to arrange breakfast: the butter has melted !!! We immediately jibed to put our bow to the West!
It feels like it has been long and hard waiting, but we have never used the engine, never a squall, never serious rain. Happy days.
Now we'll try to put our gennaker as a leash on the trade-winds neck and to land in St-lucia to buy some more butter. Ours has melted!
