Hanse Sailor - The turtle run
“23:19,92 37:52,25W”
The turtle run today sent us back by 2 miles at one stage as we had winds
of 1 to 2 knots but that just gave us all the more reason to swim, clean the
hull and waterline and while the guys cooked food for passing yachts (well it
looked like it because of quantity ) we somehow managed to consume it all.
a couple of bottles of las Palmas finest white wine and we were back onto go pro
movies , later in the day Rob decided to eliminate all our hard work by dropping
his go pro so we are down to a couple and are now trying to recreate what we
have lost . well so much for safety straps on his . food working out well but no
thanks to our fishermen who haven't pulled anything out of the water besides
that lovely sailfish . bread smell nice now and a last evening drink before bed
will set me up for my shift later.
Total miles travelled 88 in last 24 hour at this rate we will be there in
Jan not Dec. will continue tomorrow morning when new news is available.
unfortunately the yachts down south have still got wind so we may have made the
wrong decision this year , Ha ho as the guys said earlier , were here to sail
across the Atlantic not race to get to saint Lucia.are things going to change
?? wind down to 2 knots again and we are looking at a very slow trip , Big
question will be do we put the engine on now or leave it till later ?? will have
a discussion tomorrow at lunch / you will see what our final decision is on Yellow brick tomorrow . Download
if you haven't got it already.
signing off for now Andy
