Hanse Sailor - Wind no Engine on
“23:19,92 37:52,25W”
The time has come to start the engine after another 2 days of next to nil
wind. People have to be in places next week and the wind seams to be staying low
so we have started the engine and now moving at 6-7 knotts toward
Caribbean to either Marigot bay or Rodney bay depending on date we close in on
them .
Consensus was to put on and enjoy a few days in St lucia for the ones that
have to fly home on the 15th .
looking at the grib files we see 5-10 knot winds for next 2 days with it
only increasing tuesday to 10-15 so we will turn off engine then and hopefully
have a nice sail of 600 miles or so but if we sit here we will have the high
follow us pretty much all the way to land . The rum punch is getting warm and
the local hospitality is subsiding so keep an eye on us as we close in. if we
are going 6-7 knotts we are o engine ,if we are going other speed we will be
sailing .
Will try to remember to update blog and let everyone know what the plans
are .
Until next time
Andy
