Beltana II - Sweet Sixteen and never been kissed
....well maybe that girlfriend up the back of the bus in year 7....
Day Sixteen and we had an uneventful night – 2 reefs in the main, gybed her
just before watch time starts, poled out on the port side with the genoa and she
scooted along at 5-6 knots all night. We went a little bit further south than
what we wanted as the wind backed to the ENE which was a little unexpected. This
morning the wind is back to pure easterly with a tendency to go a little south
which is just what we want. Got up this morning after only one hour of
extra sleep and felt uncommonly good and optimistic – a quick shower and a shave
on the bow felt great – singing away again. Today is a big scrabble
championship day – well it was until the genset started making funny noises – so
we have a bit of a mechanical day ahead of us. JVC is conitnuing to work on our
auto helm and low voltage issues as well so we will be busy.
Stay tuned for the next episode of days of our
lives........
