Delfini - dec 5th
... last night we enjoyed cottage pie and Star Trek and finally a bit of wind as we slowly made a bit of progress south towards the rumoured 10-15 knot winds - the asymmetric came out around 5pm and we were making 5 knots or so until 2am when the wind piped up to 15 knots apparent and we decided t take it down - good job as the outer braid on the halyard had gone and th sail was hanging on by its inner braid fingertips
Today we hit 20 degrees north and found 15 knots of wind from the south east so have made good progress - iPAd says we might arrive 17th which would be a bonus since all crew have flights booked on 19th
Fresh meat in fridge and fresh veg in net now showing signs of tiredness so we will have a final flourish over the next couple of days and then hit the tinned goods - our first bread of passage went down well after the last of the long life bread from Dino was eaten yesterday
All very tired but spirits enhanced by first bit of wind in quite a few days
....onwards
