Delfini - dec 7th
The wind continued all night and most of this morning and we are very excited to approach the 1000 miles to go point - hopefully later today
Last night was clear as a bell and warm and skipper was steering by the stars with 15 knots of wind at 5 knots through the water and lining up the top of the ensign pole with mars and 3 stars diagonally - it was absolutely fabulous
Today I woke t to reports that the fridge had died but after an inspection I reckon it was just too flipping hot and it shut down - time will tell but with only 3 or 4 more days supply of meat it doesn't really matter too much - the fridge has provided sterling service keeping everything cool until now but it's 35 degrees today so no surprise it's upset
We are having egg mayo sandwiches today using home made bread made yesterday although Keith is a bit precious and wants to stick with cheese
We are flying the full spinnaker today as the wind has dropped a bit but we are still making 5 knots and 100 miles plus per day so still hopeful of arrival on 16th or early 17th
Finally I sat on the stern platform just now paddled my feet in the wake and took video of my paddling resulting in feeling delightful so off to boil the eggs
Crew complaining a bit about the heat and no air conditioning but. Reminded them of the weather to expect back home in a week or so and they have piped down
Hopefully there will be a bit of rum left for us in Rodney bay even if we arrive on Saturday
