We rented a car today to tour the island. As we were driving along I offered to give a young lady walking along the road a ride. She was carrying a couple of bags. She asked us what we were doing and then offered to stay with us for several hours talking about what we were seeing. She had worked as a tour guide before.
We had a nice drive around an area of the island. We ate lunch at a very nice resort where one of her friends worked. All she would accept is the lunch. We dropped her back off at her grandmother's house where she was going in the first place. She was taking her grandmother two bags of fruit.
We all had an enjoyable afternoon. I think she enjoyed our company of more normal people than she deals with at her resort. We enjoyed her perspective.
First is a photo of the three of us: Sam, Kesa and Bob
Next is Sam and Karen at the resort for lunch and then a seascape
May fair winds fill your sails with as good a fortune as we are experiencing!
