Lily - Day 2
On the first night we all started at the unmistakable deep rumbling of the bilge pump. A small leak was coming in via the proeller shaft - I think it is the force of the waves coming directly from behind causing a opposite pressure to what it should be. In any case it was all solved with a shakel bolt and a hose clamp.
Apart from this, Day 2 was not really very eventful. The wind and waves faded a little, making sleep easier and boat slower. Discussions throughout the day as to how to negotiate a building low of the coast of Africa causing light or no winds right in our path. We decided to head west into the Atlantic - we shall see in due course if this was a good decision...
I've had to get my fleece out again at night - looking forward to packing that away for good!
