We here on Louanne are now on day 5 of the crossing from
Cape Verde to St. Lucia. Everything is good onboard, and there is a jovial
atmosphere among us crew. We would like a little more wind (who wouldn`t), but
our skipper is determined to maximise the output of our limited sail waredrobe-
and believe me, we have rigged and de-rigged every possibility with various
levels of success
. On the positive side, the gentle winds have
given us a chance to fish, and despite the many that got away (and believe me
they were huge
), we have enjoyed two good dinners of the
dorado-looking fish in the picture, as we have caught two such fish, each of
which was just right for dinner for three
.
That´s it for my first Mid-Atlantic blog. More to
follow.
