The Mahi Mahi (or Dorado or Dolphin fish as I'm being informed!) was delicious last night, baked to perfection in butter, with coconut rice, yummy!!
Ok, so who said anything about downwind sailing?! Generally we're beating into light winds with a little bit of motoring when we hit the doldrums so, if it wasn't for the vast ocean we could be in the Solent??!!! ( Not sure where you are going with this Zoe - solent is deep dirty green colour - here the sea is clear and a deep blue colour ....and 27.9C)
Managed to miss the rain showers this morning so had to have a shower to get the salt out of our hair, more water to make Paul, sorry!!
The biggest question has been today (again), which way to go? We've been alone again or so we thought and the forecast is all over the place, if we go South to find the trade winds, it's a long way out of the way, North and we'll catch strong headwinds so has to be to carry on as we are and risk wind that doesn't know what to do either!
However, excitement of the day i........ we're being chased ! by the Mad Monkeys so we must be on track. Hey, hey with the Monkeys, Hi guys!
Long finned pilot whales were spotted earlier, though showed no interest in us unfortunately!
Sadly at the moment we have only 1 kts of true wind and are burning diesel to save the sails from flogging against the rig all well and fishing was banned today as we had chicken to eat.....skipper has been ordered to catch a nice fish for tomorrows dinner (not sure is the girls realize fishing is pot luck and not like going down to Tesco! hay - skip)
Love to all
Blonde Moment Out!
