Glory - Glory Lagoon 42 log Day 2

The pace...not the boat. Frankly yesterday wasn’t easy with the rush to leave the dock and the hectic start. New routines were difficult and mistakes- lots of them- were made. And always the nagging questions: Can I really do this? What’s that strange noise down below? How can I go faster?
But today everyone geared down and I can now begin to imagine what the next few weeks will be like. Thanks to some good wind from the north we averaged about 7 knots and are now about 170 miles out from Canaries.
I have to mention I hooked a huge fish...after a short but epic battle in which he almost spooled me he got off by straightening the hook. A real monster!
