It took some time, but the first fish is finally here!
Roughly 45 min after the first bite (we had two simultaneously) we were able to reel in a nice fish. Not sure how many of you read “The Old Man and the Sea” but this was similarly challenging (the main difference is that we are on a catamaran, it’s 4 of us, and we don’t depend on it to survive). Not 20 days at sea challenging but it still put up a nice fight. Let's see how it tastes tonight after we grill it and add some olive oil to it!
After a very windy night (with winds above 25kts) and a good 20h heading 265°/ 290° we are now going to head to 220° for the next 3-4h to ensure better winds for the night. We are currently averaging 170 nm per day and roughly 7kts.
Lunch Special of the Day: Strogonoff lasangne with fresh mushrooms paired with a red rioja. Spanish cured meats to start as always. Unfortunately no desert as we ran out of ice cream.
