Skyelark of London - Day 4

TRADE WINDS ON!
After yet another exiting day, the Trade wind seems to have found the
Skyelark. And with growing swell, anticipation and sea state, it was not
necessary to put up the Spinnaker. Wind and swell increased over the day,
and in the evening 20 kn, was reached, just before sundown. A precautionary
reef was put in the Main sail, and away we went with Godspeed. It was
therefore of major concern, and slightly frustrating to observe the wind
backing of to 11 - 13 kn, during the night. Fortunately with the Sun rising
the wind was back, and we are now travelling on the Skyelark, along with the
ancient Trade winds towards the Caribbean. By the way a small Mahi Mahi, was
taken onboard midmorning, by Jack the Ripper, and made into a wonderful
lunch dish, by the Chef Dan. And a wonderful Cevitje is prepared for the
daily 1730 gathering in the cockpit. The dinner of the day will be fresh
Mahi Mahi prepared by Nigel and Soren. One last comment to the secret recipe
mentioned above, would be - of course Irene is right. Arguing that - would
not be a smart move. I meant my Grandmother was more than 100 years old..
Now plenty of fish.
And making good way.
Tonny
