Hi everyone,

We have had a great day of champagne sailing!

At 0800GMT Daniel was helming with the symmetric spinnaker reaching 16kn of boat speed. Apparently, that was a bit too much resulting in a broach that gave everyone still in the bunks a forceful wake up 

We then figured that we are south enough to avoid an upcoming low with low wind speeds and therefore jibed on a westerly course, and also changed to the normal jib sail. Winds have been fabulous and as forecasted by Mark on-shore (big thanks!) allowing us to push with 10-13kn towards St. Lucia.

As forecasted by our on-shore meteorologist Mark, we hit the 2,000nm to go milestone at 2000 GMT.

Mat, the notorious navigator, managed his Sextant work to a level of less than 20nm off the true position.

Thanks to Derek's, Ashley's and Chris's coaching on the helm, everyone was able to benefit from the great sailing conditions and join the surfing-down-the-wave competition #AMAZING

With the jib sail up we needed less crew on watch hence could change the watch system giving everyone a more sleep. Also, with little moon light and variable winds the jib sail turned out to be the right choice, as keeping the optimum course during th night was challenging.

Spirits are high - we are now looking forward to another perfect sailing day.
