In Tune - IN TUNE 30th November. First part of the journey
In Tune - IN TUNE 30th November. First part of the journey
"In the first part of the journey, I was looking at all the life..." - America, Horse With No Name. We are now in the first part of our journey - not yet one week and we have passed the quarter-way mark. Last night was a little difficult to sleep - we now have 20 knots of wind and the 3 metre seas rear up behind the boat like a wall of water.
"The ocean is a desert with its life underground..." As the song continues, and we have seen that today - we have landed a dorado and Philip lost a large tuna which was fought bravely close to the boat. Steve also lost another dorado. Angela gave private contemplation for her son George who departed on this day 3 years ago. Mid afternoon saw us change course heading due west now for St Lucia. Somewhere along the way we lost our paper chart - hopefully we can still find St Lucia. The 5th day now heading southwards has seen the weather warm very slightly - with long pants & two jackets at night we are looking forward to more warmth. Martin has scored the highest in yahtzee so far - 444. Dinner tonight is dorado with baked potato.
