I had a fanciful thought that I could repair and re-attach the bowsprit using some machine screws and dyneema. However it left the boat violently and wasn’t about to be returned so easily. While up one the bow pondering I noticed that there are some holes pre-drilled in the anchor roller. A perfect plan B and no doubt there for just such a circumstance. I can mount the Code 0 furling unit there! So tomorrow we will repair the small tear in the sail and draw straws to see who goes up the mast to retrieve the halyard. Otherwise life is good on Glory...except for the fishing which is excellent!
